I’m originally from Scotland, but for now, I’m tucked away in a hidden corner of rural France, happily living the slow travel life.
My friends call me Heinz 57, because I’ve had more careers than I’ve had hair colours, but that just means I bring a healthy curiosity and a wealth of experience to each job.
I write about places with depth and emotion, and wildlife with respect and understanding.
I’ve written for Explore, Vacayou, Remote Lands, G-Adventures, International Living, and wellness brands around the globe.
I studied for a degree in French and Humanities, and I’ve been a jockey, a massage therapist, and an English tutor, but not all at the same time.
In short, I’m a bilingual, trail running, clarinet playing, animal-loving, travel writer, and you won’t find many of those around.
